Always follow all safety procedures and standard operating procedures (SOPs), as well as all applicable Environmental Safety and Health rules.
Never work in, around, or on any hazardous system alone.
Inspect your work area routinely for hazardous conditions and practices.
Avoid working on energized equipment if at all possible.
Always consult supervisors when in doubt.
Maintain an awareness of and respect for electrical hazards.
Before entering a high-voltage region, ensure by personal observation that all conductors which can be at high potential are grounded, and that all power is disconnected.
Never assume the energized status of a system; always verify.
When finished, secure the area and clean up after yourself.
